Platform Bodies
General Assembly
The General Assembly is the highest governing body of the Polish Technological Platform on Photonics (PPTF). It consists of one representative from each PPTF member organization. Members who are natural persons may participate in the General Assembly in person. Each member is entitled to one vote, and the General Assembly adopts its decisions by resolution.
The responsibilities of the General Assembly include:
- adopting the main strategic directions of the PPTF;
- approving strategic and policy documents prepared by the Management Board;
- appointing and dismissing members of the Management Board and the Audit Committee;
- approving the PPTF budget;
- considering motions and proposals submitted by PPTF members.
Management Board
The Management Board is the executive body of the PPTF and consists of one to five members. It is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization, including:
- coordinating the activities of research and implementation teams;
- establishing cooperation with national and international institutions, organizations, and companies to achieve the Platform’s objectives;
- identifying and securing funding sources for PPTF activities.
The Management Board also:
- manages the ongoing operations of the PPTF and represents the organization externally;
- prepares strategic and policy documents for approval by the General Assembly;
- develops the annual budget proposal;
- admits new members to the PPTF;
- manages the Platform’s assets.
Audit Committee
The Audit Committee is the supervisory body of the PPTF responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial management. Its members are elected by the General Assembly by secret ballot with a simple majority of votes.
The responsibilities of the Audit Committee include:
- reviewing and providing opinions on the draft budget;
- supervising the Management Board with regard to budget implementation and financial management;
- acting as an independent arbitrator in disputes between the PPTF and members of the Management Board.
