Military University of Technology

The Military University of Technology (MUT, widely-used Polish abbreviation: WAT), established by an act of 1951, is a public university supervised by the Minister of National Defence. As an open technical university, it serves the Polish Armed Forces, science, economy, and society by educating officer cadets and students, developing the research and teaching staff, and conducting research and development work in the areas of science, technology, and social sciences, particularly in the field of military technology and security technology.

High level of scientific and research work is confirmed by numerous inventions, innovations, patents and prestigious national and international awards. The MUT cooperates with academic universities and institutions in the country and abroad.

In accordance with the overriding motto “Omnia pro patria”, the University continues the glorious traditions of military technical schools: School of Chivalry, College of Artillery and Engineering and College of Military Engineering. It prepares future engineer cadres, passes on knowledge, develops skills and improves competence at the highest level, while teaching patriotism and responsibility for the Homeland.
