It is a Polish organisation for scientists, entrepreneurs, science administrators as well as students and doctoral students related to photonics and optoelectronics.
The society was established to promote photonics, develop the relation between physicists and engineers, scientists and practitioners working in this area as well as to integrate and represent the national environment of science and technology.
